Grand Theft Auto V voice actor Ned Luke was swatted while playing GTA Online during a Thanksgiving livestream. Ned Luke, who's best known his role as Michael De Santa in GTA V, has spent recent years showing up at conventions, hosting livestreams on his YouTube channel, answering fan questions, and more. Recently, the 65-year-old actor has been playing Grand Theft Auto V for the open-world action/adventure game's 10-year anniversary and frequently plays with fans on GTA Online.
The goal of swatting a streamer is to elicit a police response from the SWAT team after someone anonymously files a false report with law enforcement, claiming there's some type of emergency at a streamer's location. This usually results in a group of police showing up with ARs and other heavy weaponry and can often result to streamer's doors being kicked down. People have died in the past because of this, and it clearly continues to be a problem in the streaming community.
