Fortnite is getting ready for another Star Wars event, and fans are already excited to find out which iconic characters will be featured in Epic's popular battle royale game. Skins for Star Wars characters such as Ahsoka Tano, Darth Maul, Stormtroopers, and Ahsoka Tano have already been released in previous collaborations between the Disney-owned sci-fi franchise and Fortnite, and the next crossover event is coming on May 3, just in time for Star Wars Day (May 4th). Epic Games already revealed some of what will be included in the event through official announcements, but data-mining efforts and leaks have revealed more content straight from the galaxy far, far away.

When is the 2024 Fortnite Star Wars event?
The next Fortnite Star Wars event will begin on May 3, 2024, Epic Games and Disney have officially confirmed with a teaser, which was shared on official channels. Of course, this means that the event begin just in time for Star Wars Day, so players can celebrate the Lucasfilm franchise in-game with the latest content inspired by the galaxy far, far away.
"We have a good feeling about this... Star Wars is returning to Fortnite," reads the caption of the official teaser.
The start date is confirmed in the teaser clip, and it also features logos of Fortnite Festival and LEGO Fortnite, confirming that we'll be getting musical fun and brick-based building from this exciting event, as well as the classic battle royale action players enjoy.
What new Star Wars skins can we expect in Fortnite?
On April 27, Epic Games and Disney have revealed that Han Solo's old friend, Lando Calrissian, is coming to Fortnite. The announcement was shared by the Fortnite Festival social media accounts, with the image showing Lando playing an instrument, but given how Fortnite's cosmetics and collabs work across the game and its various spin-offs, we'll see Lando in Fortnite itself, not just in Fortnite Festival.
Today, April 29, the Chewbacca skin for Fortnite has been revealed, and based on the image, it looks like the crossbow will be added to the game. Fortnite players may remember that another Wookiee, Krrsantan, was previously added to the game (Chapter 5: Season 1) as a Star Wars Series Outfit that was made available to purchase.
Another image being shared by leakers reveals that lightsabers will be in LEGO Fortnite, along with Star Wars-themed items players can use for building in the game.
