Fortnite is all set to re-introduce Chapter 1 to both new and long-term players this Friday, including the old map that is returning in the upcoming Fortnite Season OG. Like previous seasons, leakers already got their hands on much of the upcoming season’s content before Epic Games could officially reveal it.
Even though players will receive an official announcement from Epic as to what they can expect from the Season OG in the form of a gameplay trailer that releases on November 3, fans already know many details thanks to the leakers. These range from the map’s look to what the battle pass would look like in Fortnite Season OG.
Fortnite’s Season OG Leaks
One of the most popular Season OG leaks is regarding the map posted by leaker StreamFNBR on X (formerly Twitter). The season's map will look quite familiar to the veteran players, and playing on it will definitely be a trip down memory lane for them. However, it looks like this version of the Chapter 1 map will come from Season 5, when Epic Games introduced the icy biome to the game.
It’s worth noting that the Season OG rumor suggests that the map will keep changing frequently during the entire course of the season with plenty of small changes. Not only this, but the leaks from iFireMonkey suggest that next season’s battle pass will be entirely different, consisting of half the number of rewards. So, instead of 100 rewards, fans can expect to see only 50 in the game’s upcoming season, which will be shorter than usual.
The battle pass will be full of some popular character skin combinations from Fortnite, such as Lil’ Whip getting mixed with Peely the banana man to bring Lil’ Split. Players can also take a look at that skin in the official Fortnite marketing, which is one of the skins that were revealed today. Since the map is going seasons back, gamers can also expect to see the return of old weapons and cosmetic items.
So far, we’ve already caught a glimpse of the hoverboard, pump shotgun pop-up, golf cart, and shopping trolley, and we’re sure a lot more is to be added to the game once the season officially launches.
