Fortnite Chapter 1 Map Set To Make an Epic Comeback Soon

Fortnite is all set to bring back the Chapter 1 era of the popular battle royale game soon. Epic Games recently confirmed the news of the return of Fortnite’s original map, which long-time fans have been such huge fans of. For some time, many rumors and leaks have been going around suggesting that Fortnite would return back to the old ages of Chapter 1 and bring back its map as well as the gameplay elements.

This is huge news for everyone who has been playing the game for a long time and has been around since the OG days of Fortnite. Since players have been asking Epic to bring back the old map for some time, this event is definitely going to bring a lot of players back to the game.

Chapter 1 Map Officially Returning To Fortnite

Since Rumors had been going around for a while regarding Chapter 1’s return, Epic Games finally decided to confirm the event and unveil its date. They confirmed in an official Tweet that Fortnite would head back to Chapter 1 on November 3, 2023.

The post includes an image of the Battle Bus that looks similar to a shot from the game’s first gameplay trailer, which was released 6 years ago. The caption for the post reads, “Sprint (or Mantle, your choice) back to Chapter 1....see you soon 11.3.2023. #FortniteOG”

Fortnite “Rewind” Teasers

A word that is commonly found in the teasers for the upcoming event, especially in the one shared by Fortnite Insiders, is “rewind”. Even some Fortnite streamers and influencers have posted these, all hinting at the OG Fortnite map that will be returning to the game.

How much will Fortnite’s gameplay change?

Currently, it is unclear how much Epic Games will revert the game back to its original state. Whether they will keep the improvements that have been made to the game over the years or they will temporarily revert those too. Then there is also the question of whether the new Sprinting and Mantling mechanics, which are a huge part of the game, will stay as they are or get temporarily disabled.

We don’t know the answers to these questions yet, other than that the map will be constantly changing throughout the month of November, after which we’ll head into the next Chapter.
