Netflix has confirmed Emily in Paris Season 4, which means viewers will be treated to an abundance of scenic views, fashionable outfits and juicy drama anew. The fourth installment was ordered nearly two years ago, and Netflix renewed both Seasons 3 and 4 in January 2022.

Emily in Paris Season 4 was shot in France last year, so the American romantic comedy-drama television series created by Darren Star for Netflix could return even earlier than its typical holiday season release. If history is any indication, fans won't receive the new season until just before Christmas in 2023.

With the shocking reveal from the Season 3 finale, avid followers of the show wonder what will happen to the characters in Emily in Paris Season 4. It can be recalled that the last episode of the third installment saw Gabriel and Camille abruptly call off their wedding due to the latter’s candid but honest remarks.

Instead of pretending everything was fine, Camille told the congregation that Gabriel was in love with her best friend, Emily. Then, a startling twist was revealed: Camille is pregnant, and this is where the upcoming fourth season is expected to pick up. As fans await for more details about the imminent installment, here is everything you need to know about Emily in Paris Season 4.

Netflix has not yet made any official announcements regarding the official release date of Emily in Paris Season 4. The previous seasons of the show were released around the holiday season, so the series will likely resume by the end of this year.

Season 1 debuted in October 2020, Season 2 in December 2021, and Season 3 in December 2022, so it seems likely that Netflix will release the fourth installment a year after the previous seasons. However, according to the film commission Mission Cinema (via Variety), the next season was initially scheduled to start filming in early summer, but will now begin filming on January 15 for five months in Paris and production will resume in Italy.

So with the production delay, it's likely that Emily in Paris Season 4 will not be released until late Q4 2024, but we'll have to wait for an official announcement from Netflix. We will update you once we get an official update about Season 4's Netflix premiere date.

Emily in Paris Season 4 Cast: Who are the actors included in the upcoming season?

Despite the fact that Netflix has not yet released its formal cast list for Emily in Paris Season 4, the announcement of Lily Collins provides hope that several fan-favorite characters will return for another round. Starting with Lily herself, who will undoubtedly return to the small screen as social media influencer and marketing strategist Emily Cooper, the cast includes a number of other familiar faces.

Since Season 1, the character of Lucas Bravo, Gabriel, has been Emily's romantic interest, but the two have never been more than friends. Now that Camille, played by Camille Razat, and Gabriel are no longer getting married, he can finally be with Emily, making him a pivotal character in the upcoming Emily in Paris Season 4.

Lily specifically mentioned Camille, Mindy, portrayed by Ashley Park, and Sylvie, played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, in her proclamation, which clearly indicates that they will appear in Emily in Paris Season 4. However, the destiny of Alfie, portrayed by Lucien Laviscount in the series, is quite uncertain now that he is no longer Emily's boyfriend.

Other stars expected to make a comeback include Samuel Arnold as Julien, Emily’s trendy co-worker; Bruno Gouery as Luc, Emily’s quirky coworker; and William Abadie, Emily’s client who owns the perfume company called Maison Lavaux. Celine Menville is also expected to return as Jacquiline, Emily’s French teacher, together with Kevin Dias as Benoit, Mindy’s love interest, Jin Xua Mao as Etienne, Soren Bregendal as Erik de Groot, Melia Kreiling as Sofia Sideris and Paul Forman as Nicolas de Leon.

Sex and the City creator Darren Starr is the showrunner for the series, meaning that he will be looking over the storyline and creative decisions of Emily in Paris Season 4. In an interview with Deadline, Darren hinted at the future of Lucien Laviscout and Melia Kreiling’s characters, saying:

"I don’t think romantically he is in the picture [anymore]. I don’t think that makes Alfie out of the show. He certainly has a reason to be in Paris, and he’s working with Gabriel. I feel like all of our characters are still connected, just in a more complicated way...[As for Melia,] I think quite possibly we could see more of her. I don’t know that that is a relationship that’s over, and I think that there was a romantic spark between the two of them that I feel like we’ve never seen between Camille and Gabriel. I feel like there’s like some real passion there between the two of them."

In addition to what Lily revealed about the characters, the lead actress hinted that her character might face some difficult choices in Emily in Paris Season 4, including whether or not she will eventually begin a relationship with Gabriel. Showrunner Darren Starr also revealed to TV Guide what avid followers can expect from the upcoming Emily in Paris Season 4. He said:

"Season 4 is going to be more about navigating complicated relationships; personal relationships and work relationships, and how they come into conflict with each other…Emily is still going to be working with Alfie, Gabriel, and Camille.
