Elite Season 7 is almost here, and Netflix has dropped its official trailer to give fans a glimpse of what will happen next to their favorite students of Las Encinas. The preview features the new and returning characters, putting Omar Ayuso and Anitta in the lead.

After being away in the sixth season, Ayuso returns to reprise his role as Omar in Elite Season 7. Of course, there will also be a slew of new additions, like Nadia Al Saidi, Mirela Balic, Fernando Lindez, Gleb Abrosimov, Ivan Mendes, Alejandro Albarracin, and Maribel Verdu. But if there’s one new cast member fans have been waiting to see in this Carlos Montero and Jamie Vaca series, it’s the Brazilian Funk Queen Anitta, whose role is just recently revealed.

As expected, the new season trailer starts very intense, with a montage of the exciting scenes viewers are about to see while Jessica (Anitta) counts one to two in Spanish. The bloody dead body of Samuel is then revealed, which seems to be from Omar’s dream as he wakes up from his bed with Joel (Lindez).

From there, the school of Las Encinas is featured as students start to come in. The next scene features Isadora (Valentina Zenere) telling Didac (Álvaro de Juana) that they can’t be together, while Chloe (Mirela Balic) tells her mom she learned from the best—her. As things get exciting, an upset Omar stands above the building while the sequence cuts to Jessica training Sara (Carmen Arrufat) in a boxing lesson.

What is Elite Season 7 about?

Elite Season 7 will feature the return of Omar, as he’s about to start a new life at the university. But despite being out of Las Encinas, he still hasn’t moved on from Samuel’s death. He still feels the weight of that moment and the guilt of his friend’s murder, making him seek therapy to heal. Thankfully, because of an internship, he returns to the school to face his own demons.

Aside from Omar, the new season will explore all the hardships that other students are going through. That said, Elite Season 7 will focus on mental health and depict how people avoid this issue due to fear and ignorance. You can read the synopsis below:

In this new season, Omar is living a new life at the university and far away from Las Encinas, but he is unable to move on. The guilt he feels for Samuel's death and the suffering from that period are still very much present, leading him to undergo therapy. Thanks to an internship, he decides to return to the school where everything happened to confront his demons face to face. Through Omar's journey, we will discover that the rest of the students are also silently battling their own hells. Elite’s season 7 will tackle mental health and how most of us neglect it out of fear or ignorance.
