Dragon Ball Daima will feature a brand new story that's not based on the Dragon Ball Super manga series by franchise creator Akira Toriyama and artist Toyotarou, but the story still comes from the mind of Toriyama. When Dragon Ball Daima was officially announced at New York Comic-Con 2023 last October, shonen fans noticed that there are clear similarities to the previous series of the Z-Fighter franchise, Dragon Ball GT. The Grand Tour featured Goku transforming into a child, but the series was not considered canon to the shonen's official story. Now, it looks like Daima is bringing that idea and multiplying it by turning not just Goku but also his friends into their younger selves.
