Since the first cour of Dr. Stone: New World ended with 11 episodes in June, fans have been looking for more second cour updates. Though details have remained under wraps, the anime has teased new information coming tomorrow, Saturday, August 26, during the second cour’s advance screening.
For starters, Dr. Stone: New World is based on the Japanese manga series Dr. Stone, written by Riichiro Inagaki with illustrations by the South Korean artist Boichi. It was adapted into anime by TMS Entertainment in 2019, while the second season, officially titled Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, followed in 2021. Dr. Stone: New World is the anime’s official third-season title and is divided into two cours.
The anime announced on X (formerly Twitter) that a second cour advance screening would be held on Saturday at 2 PM JST with the recent decision to “live delivery of the stage greeting part.” It also teased new information would be revealed. “Don’t miss it,” it added, as translated into English.

What is Dr. Stone: New World about?
Dr. Stone: New World continues the events of the Source of the Petrification Saga, being a direct sequel to Dr. Stone: Stone Wars and the film Dr. Stone Ryusui, released in July 2022. The third season follows the New World arc from the manga series.
Here, Senku and his group and Ryuusui Nanami are ready to set sail to the other side of the world, where the mysterious green light that petrified humanity is located. However, as everything is prepared, Senku receives an odd message from an unknown source. But being armed with his great knowledge of science, there’s nothing that can scare Senku anymore as he explores the strangest places that will help his scientific cause.

Dr. Stone: New World Cour 2 will be part of the anime’s fall premiere in October. As there are no words for when it will be officially released, fans hope the new information revealed tomorrow will be about it and more.
