Disney initially announced “all-new adventures” for Ahsoka Tano’s Star Tours during Star Wars Celebration 2023. This was followed by another reveal at Destination D23 that Ahsoka is one of the "stories and characters" getting introduced to the original Star Wars attraction. With 2024 on the horizon, Disney has shared some brand-new information regarding the timing of Star Tours’ upcoming expansion.
The event calendar of Disneyland 2024 recently revealed that Star Tours’ Ahsoka expansion is going to launch during the park’s “Season of the Force” event, which is set to begin on April 5 and end on June 2. Disneyland also describes the upcoming addition as “new adventures,” which means that Ahsoka Tano and locations from the Ahsoka Disney+ series might not be the only new faces and places that’ll get introduced to the iconic ride.
Although Disney just confirmed a release window and not the actual date, in case it doesn’t begin with “Season of the Force” on April 5, May the 4th/Star Wars Day is most probably what the House of Mouse is planning. Despite this, Disneyland’s Star Tours isn’t the ride’s only version that’s set to receive this particular addition.
Both Walt Disney and Disneyland Paris’ Star Tours rides have also been confirmed to receive the update. However, Disney hasn’t yet announced if the April 5 to June 2 release window also applies to those parks. When it comes to Disneyland’s “Season of the Force” event, the park has also promised to bring back Hyperspace Mountain, which is a beloved Space Mountain overlay.

Not only this, but they’ve also promised the return of Star Wars-themed food and merchandise. Featuring "galactic music," Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will also feature a "fresh perspective on the fireworks" in 2024. Fans can expect to come across Lady Tano in Galaxy’s Edge during “Season of the Force,” especially considering the fact that she’s been frequently visiting the land after her park debut in August.
Will Star Tours get a MandoVerse overlay?
The introduction of Ahsoka Tano in Star Tours is massive from a park's point-of-view since it's the first time ever that the Disney+ characters have been featured in a Star Wars Disney ride. The only question that seems to be on everyone's mind right now is who else from the MandoVerse will join her. Many believe that Mando and, specifically, Grogu will most probably be a part of the roster. However, Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka co-stars, i.e., Chopper and even Luke Skywalker, are also contenders.
Many are also wondering if each new Star Tours spin might feature these brand-new locations and characters or if it'll continue to offer randomized original, prequel, and sequel trilogy scenes. Nevertheless, more information will be shared in the coming months regarding the Star Tours' expansion and Ahsoka's role.
