Ryan Reynolds dropped a new Deadpool & Wolverine TV spot to celebrate Best Friends Day over the weekend. The teaser mostly featured the two titular characters’ incredible but brutal bond already seen in the previous trailers. However, one thing that caught the attention of many was the appearance of who looked like Ladypool. With this surprise, many couldn’t help but ask who could play Wade Wilson’s female counterpart in the threequel.

You can watch the Deadpool & Wolverine preview below:

The Deadpool & Wolverine TV spot is filled with Logan and Wade’s fun banters and action sequences. At one point, Wade reveals his longtime wish to ride with Logan while traveling together in a car. In another scene, Logan asks Wade to wear his mask on. Wade says it’s super hard to eat with it on his face, but Logan reveals it’s much harder when he sees his frenemy’s face.

The scene then shifts to Wade’s birthday celebration, as seen in the trailer released during the Super Bowl in February 2024. It’s followed by the appearance of Dogpool and the mysterious legs of a woman who donned the same costume as Deadpool. Many believe those legs belong to Ladypool, and several theories emerged regarding who could play the role.

Rumors about Taylor Swift’s cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine became incredibly strong after the TV spot’s release. While her alleged appearance as Dazzler remains to be seen, some are convinced she might portray Ladypool instead. One fan even edited Swift's concert photo, pairing it with the legs seen in the trailer. Without a doubt, Ladypool's legs perfectly fit Swift.

Another fan theory suggests that Ryan Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, could play as Wanda Wilson. Some even share photos of Lively on the movie’s set with her husband, though she’s not wearing the Ladypool suit. Reynolds himself seems to tease Lively’s appearance in the film when he asks his followers if they saw his wife in the official trailer.

However, insider My Time to Shine Hello claimed that the film would not feature Dazzler, Lively, or Swift, especially since the latter was “making moves on other big franchises." Interestingly, Atlanta Filming countered this, revealing that Swift or a blond who looked like the pop giant “was playing a female Wolverine.”

Who is Ladypool in Deadpool?

Ladypool is Deadpool’s female counterpart in the alternate reality Earth-3010. Named Wanda Wilson, she joins a group of rebels to feel she belongs and is wanted. The team aims to fight loyalists in the US after the fascists in the federal government started to impose their will on the people.

She, too, is the leader of the Deadpool Corps and a member of the X-Women, an all-female sub-group of the X-Men. With the number of Deadpool variants, Ladypool is believed to be the sanest. Her abilities include regenerative healing factor, telepathic immunity, foreign chemical resistance, superhuman stamina, superhuman agility, and superhuman reflexes.
