Daredevil: Born Again is now in the works on Disney+ after a major shakeup due to Marvel’s creative reboot plans. As earlier announced, fans will once again see Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio together as Daredevil and Kingpin in the new series, along with other characters from Netflix’s Daredevil, like Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher, Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye, and Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson, among others. That said, many wonder if Elodie Yung’s Elektra will also return.
Though Marvel Studios is yet to reveal if Elektra is about to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it may only take a matter of time before this finally happens. The studio is now adapting the recent releases of Marvel Comics and considering that Elektra holds the mantle of Daredevil in the Marvel source material, she may be included in Daredevil: Born Again.
How can Elektra join Daredevil: Born Again?
For starters, Elektra died off-screen when an explosion happened at the end of The Defenders. As her death wasn’t revealed, it’s possible that she managed to escape, and she might still be alive. In fact, Daredevil did the same, so it may also be the case for Elektra.
Elektra may join the MCU and appear in Daredevil: Born Again by showing she survived the building collapse. As a beloved anti-hero who lacks a satisfying character arc, this may be the chance to give her the proper character development she deserves.

Elodie Yung Expresses Interest in Joining Daredevil: Born Again
During the Fandom Spotlite virtual Wizard World panel in 2020, Yung expressed her interest in joining Daredevil: Born Again. “Oh my God, I would love to. Especially since they've adjusted my costume,” she said.
The actress added that she loved her character because of her complexity and brokenness. She also described Elektra as amazing, with a lot of villainous traits in her that she could relate to. Of course, there’s also a lot of goodness in this character. That said, she would love Marvel to bring Elektra back onto the small screen.
So far, there are no words yet on when Daredevil: Born Again will be released, but it’s expected to come out in 2025 on Disney+. With the number of original Daredevil stars reprising their roles in the new series, seeing Elektra as one of them may not be surprising at all.
