The DAN DA DAN anime's official channels dropped a new trailer for the second season, showcasing the battle between Okarun and Evil Eye. As announced earlier, the new season will debut on July 3. Here's the Japanese trailer for DAN DA DAN Season 2 anime:

The first season of the anime based on the ongoing supernatural sci-fi manga by Yukinobu Tatsu premiered in the Fall 2024 anime season, and it introduced fans to Okarun and Momo as they fended off aliens and spirits on a quest to get Okarun's gintama back. Season 1 ended on a shocking cliffhanger that upset many manga readers, but fans won't have to wait long for Season 2.
Alongside the first trailer, a new official account for the inaugural DAN DA DAN exhibition was launched, revealing the event and displaying its first visual. The exhibition, centered on the manga series, will take place at Ikebukuro Sunshine City from June 20 to July 6.
DAN DA DAN Season 2 Global Theatrical Premiere
Fans from all over the world will get the chance to get a special early look at DAN DA DAN Season 2 in the form of a global theatrical rollout. Previously announced by Mainichi Broadcasting System, Inc. in a partnership with ADN, GKIDS, and Muse, DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE will be released in theaters outside Japan, starting on May 30 in Asia; In North America, GKIDS will release it in North American theaters on June 6, and in European theaters, ADN will release it on June 7.
The global theatrical rollout of DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE will cover over 50 countries and regions. Further release information will be revealed in collaboration with the theatrical premiere partners in each region.
What is DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE about?
The DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE theatrical event will screen the beginning of the EVIL EYE arc, which began in the final episode of Season 1, along with the first three episodes of Season 2. In addition, the theatrical special will also include an exclusive interview with series co-directors Fuga Yamashiro and Abel Gongora.
The EVIL EYE arc is based on the fifth story arc of the same title of Yukinobu Tatsu's DAN DA DAN manga's Kintama Hunt Saga, which began serialization on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service in 2021. Without giving away major spoilers, the EVIL EYE arc sees Okarun, Momo, and their colleagues monitoring Jiji until the Evil Eye within him is somehow put under control.

The official story description of DAN DA DAN series reads:
DAN DA DAN follows Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult geek. In this new arc, Momo and Okarun set out on their latest adventure, traveling to a hot springs town home rented by Jiji, Momo’s childhood friend and former crush, with the goal to solve the mystery surrounding his family. When they arrive, strange locals derail their investigation before it can properly begin, and the group soon learns there’s more lurking under the surface of the town than they could possibly have imagined.

Season 1 director Fuga Yamashiro and longtime Science SARU veteran Aben Angora will return to co-direct the second season of DAN DA DAN. The animation will be produced once again by Science SARU, the studio behind DEVILMAN crybaby, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Lu Over the Wall, Inu-Oh, and The Night is Short, Walk On Girl.
All episodes of the the first season of DAN DA DAN are now streaming on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and other platforms in regions where they're available, so we can expect new Season 2 episodes to release on the same platforms when they premiere this summer.
