In just a day, Daily Dose of Sunshine will finally hit the small screens and see Park Bo Young’s return on Netflix after 2021’s Doom at Your Service and an appearance on Strong Girl Nam-Soon. And to prepare fans for what’s to come, the streamer drops the K-drama’s pre-release trailer featuring Bo-Young getting slapped on her first day of duty in the psychiatric ward.
The preview begins with Bo-Yung introducing herself as Nurse Jung Da-Eun to the other medical staff as she transfers to the psychiatric ward from internal medicine. As she prepares for her first day of duty, the head nurse, Song Hyo-Jin, checks on her and asks if she’s already dressed up. As Hyo-Jin inspects her stuff, Da-Eun changes her pen to a not-so-pointed one, while the former changes her badge’s pin to less harmless to prevent patients from harming themselves if they see pointy things.
From there, Hyo-Jin shows Da-Eun the facility and explains all the adjustments they made to keep the patients safe. As Da-Eun sees the patients, she seems in awe of the new role she has to play. But not everything is fun and games here. She ends up being slapped when she says to her female patient that her mom calls her delusional while the patient is trying to convince Bo-Young that she’s about to be discharged.

What is Daily Dose of Sunshine about?
Daily Dose of Sunshine is based on the Korean web series of the same name by Lee Ra-Ha. As a former nurse, the author likes to tell her story of her real-life experiences through Bo-Young. The new series focuses on Da-Eun after being transferred to the neuropsychiatry ward from the internal medicine department. However, she evidently feels awkward and nervous as this will be the first time she will handle patients in this case.
But Da-Eun is determined to do her best and aims to grow as a psychiatric ward nurse with Hyo-Jin’s help. Aside from the chief nurse, Da-Eun will also meet the proctology specialist, Dong Go-Yoon. As the latter starts to see how Da-Eun works, he can’t help but smile and feel healed by what she does. The series will also introduce Da-Eun’s friend, Song Yoo-Chan, who secretly holds a pain in his heart that nobody knows about while trying to have fun on the outside.
