The release of Cyberpunk 2077’s massive Phantom Liberty DLC is right around the corner, which is set to bring tons of new features for one to explore, challenges to complete, weapons, and much more as a way to expand the game. Even though the DLC is going to be a paid one, Cyberpunk 2077 gamers who don’t really feel like getting into the expansion can benefit from the other content that has been introduced as part of a free Cyberpunk 2.0 update that is going to be released along with the DLC.
Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red revealed some details this week regarding what the players might expect from both the update and the expansion through a gameplay video. The video featured multiple augments, weapons, and some other deadly additions to players’ arsenals that’ll become available towards the end of this month. The official Cyberpunk 2077 X account shared the DLC, owing to a video from Much118x, a content creator who’s compiled videos such as this one for many other companies, including CD Projekt Red.
In the video, we can see that the names of the weapons weren’t actually revealed. However, along with other scoped weapons as well as throwing knives, we also see vehicular combat, flashy slow-motion dashes, and much more.
Phantom Liberty DLC & Free Update Content
With two different releases coming up in the form of the free update and the Phantom Liberty DLC, the real question is which of the things are going to be locked behind the paywall and which ones are going to be free. Cyberpunk 2.0 & Phantom Liberty Release Date
We have known for a while now that Phantom Liberty is set to release on September 26, 2023. However, when it comes to the Cyberpunk 2.0 update, that query was recently addressed by Marcin Momot, the global community director for CD Projekt Red. Momot shared on his Twitter page that even though he couldn’t give an exact date yet, he did say that more information would come soon. So, there’s a high chance that the update will be released at some time other than the release date of Phantom Liberty.
