Crunchyroll’s in-house publisher, Crunchyroll Games, recently announced a new game known as One Punch Man: World. This game is based on the popular anime called One-Punch Man, which consists of two seasons for now, with the third season reportedly set to release in 2024. However, the manga consists of 180 chapters and is ongoing despite a months-long break in the middle due to the series’ illustrator Yasuke Murata’s serious health problems.
Perfect World is behind the development of One Punch Man: World, the same devs who also brought you the popular Tower of Fantasy and Persona 5: The Phantom X video games. This game is a multiplayer tie-in action-adventure game for mobile devices and PC. The company also revealed a trailer for the game, showing its gameplay and story features, including some famous characters from the anime series One-Punch Man.

Crunchyroll Games’ General Manager, Terry Li, said in a press release. "One Punch Man: World is an immersive online action game that transports players into the universe of One-Punch Man. The game brings iconic characters and abilities to life with premiere production values that we are excited to unleash on anime fans and gamers.”
Everything About One Punch Man: World
Crunchyroll Games revealed that One Punch Man: World’s plot will adapt to the anime’s first season. It will consist of the Hero Association and Saitama fighting against plenty of monsters ready to destroy the world. The game will also feature many expanded scenes from the point-of-view of different characters.
Apart from the story, the game will introduce plenty of playable characters from the anime, like Genos. Players will also be allowed to team up in action-based fighting and cooperative missions, where they will use different skill combos, dodging mechanics, and ultimate abilities. One Punch Man: World will also feature an open hub world where players will be able to interact with other players.

When it comes to gameplay, Perfect World decided to change its approach from the usual arena-style fighting game, One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. This game mainly focuses on 1v1 fighting between players controlling the characters from the anime. One Punch Man: World will also feature several minigames in the main world.
Pre-registrations for the game are officially open now for Windows PC players on the game’s official website. One Punch Man: World will release on Android, PC, and iOS later this year and will also feature cross-progression to make sure that players’ progress isn’t lost and is easily carried over across different platforms.
