Captain America: Brave New World recently received good news regarding its release amid concerns of a delay because of the ongoing actors’ strike. The Marvel movie was first set to launch on May 3, 2024, which was announced at the San Diego Comic-Con, before moving to a July 26, 2024 release in June. This delay resulted in the movie’s title getting changed from New World Order to Brave New World.

Brave New World was among some of the many MCU projects to get delayed because of the now-ended writers’ and ongoing actors’ strike. However, there are still some worries up in the air with there being rumors that another release change is coming. According to a new report from Deadline, we received a pretty promising update on Captain America: Brave New World, after rumors suggested that the movie might get delayed since the SAG-AFTRA strike is still going on in full force.

The article revealed that Deadpool 3, which was scheduled for release on May 3, 2024, has been left undated because of the ongoing production shutdown. The movie was previously moved to a summer release in June prior to the filming block, with the date occupied by Captain America 4 at that time, which has now shifted to July 26, 2024.

As per the report, there’s a “long shot” that Brave New World might even shift back to its initial May 3 release date after Deadpool 3 got delayed because of its state of production. Captain America 4 finished its entire three-month shoot by June’s end unlike Deadpool 3, which only filmed for two months before the strikes took over.

Since the principal photography of Brave New World has been completed, it might smoothly move through post-production while the strikes continue. However, development can stop at any time if reshoots are needed depending on the actors’ strike and for how long it continues to impact Hollywood.

What is Captain America: Brave New World about?

Currently, not much is known about the movie, but it looks like it'll be somewhat similar to Captain America: The Winter Soldier. All Captain America movies have one thing in common, which is that they explore the broken political systems and government distrust. Regardless of that, we'll just have to wait and see the kind of fascist conspiracy Sam Wilson a.k.a The Falcon will have to face in Brave New World.
