Prepare to return to Mayfair, as Bridgerton Season 3 is almost here. In a couple of days, Netflix will finally release the much-awaited new season of Bridgerton, which will delve deeper into the love story of Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton. As a treat, the streamer has revealed the first five-minute look at Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 1, Out of the Shadows.
As shared on Netflix’s Tudum, Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 1 will begin with Lady Whistledown welcoming the “dearest gentle readers” as London’s fashionable set has finally returned. “And so too has this author,” she reveals as Penelope exits the carriage. “It’s good to be home,” her mom, Portia Featherington, says.
Lady Whistledown continues her narration as Penelope walks the halls, giving a nod to everyone she meets her eyes with. Everyone is busy looking at the pamphlet of the debutantes who may shine this year. However, if there’s one thing the ton is looking forward to the most, it’s the debut of another Bridgerton: Francesca.
The scene then shifts to the Bridgerton home, with Gregory and her mom, Lady Violet, eavesdropping on Francesca’s room. Annoyed, Eloise tells them Francesca is well enough while Benedict mocks her. “As you were last year?” he says.
However, Lady Violet can’t help but worry as Francesca is too silent. Hyacinth and Benedict start making assumptions as Anthony and his wife, Kate, arrive. Lady Violet asks them to ask the “one” playing the piano to quiet down so she can hear what Francesca is doing. However, the piano player is revealed to be Francesca herself. Unlike her family, who’s nervous about her big day, it’s just another day for Francesca.
But aside from debutantes, Lady Whistledown reveals everyone also looks forward to seeing the gentlemen who will be “the prize of the season.” Penelope watches the Bridgerton family leave their home while Colin is finally revealed as a group of ladies squawking around a mysterious man. This surprises Penelope as Colin hugs his family.
