Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has officially returned with The Separation cour and the second half of the anime's final season is off to a great start. The premiere also led to the announcement of the second cour's episode count.
We already know that Thousand-Year Blood War will be the last season of the anime and that it will be split into two parts. The first cour already has 13 episodes that concluded with a huge shocker as Uryu Ishida is revealed to be in Silbern with Jugram Haschwalth.
The premiere episode of Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 finally dropped on July 8 and soon after, the anime's official Twitter account shared information about the final season's Blu-ray and DVD release. It also confirmed that The Separation will cover Episodes 14 to 26 which means the second cour will consist of 13 episodes.
It's great to know that the final season of Bleach will run for 26 episodes and that the second cour will last until the end of summer. Needless to say, we can't wait to see what happens next for Ichigo Kurosaki and Uryu Ishida in the anime.
The Separation has also introduced a new opening and closing theme for the manga. w.o.d performed the opening theme Stars while the ending theme is Endroll by Yoh Kamiyama. Aniplex has since released the non-credit version of the opening sequence for the Thousand-Year Blood War's second cour.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 14 is titled The Last 9 Days and covered the manga's Chapters 542 to 547. It was storyboarded by Tomohisa Taguchi, Hikaru Murata, and Yusaku Kikuchi while Murata directed the premiere.
The second episode of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2, which serves as the anime's 381st episode, is titled Peace From Shadows. It is set to premiere on Saturday, July 15, 2023.
