Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a gameplay overview trailer for the upcoming Bleach: Rebirth of Souls game, and it features Ichigo Kurosaki and Byakuya Kuchiki in combat. The arena brawler based on Tite Kubo's popular shonen franchise is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam), and the new trailer explains the game's battle mechanics.
As the trailer reveals, the basic flow of a fight in Bleach: Rebirth of Souls involves slashing down your enemy's Reishi with your character’s Zankensoki action, with each lost Reishi gauge leading to a decrease in Konpaku. There's a total of nine Konpaku to go through in order to take down an opponent, and Kikon Moves are able to cut down several.
Spiritual Power can accumulate when a player attacks, and this can be used to unleash Spiritual Pressure Moves. Players will also be able to use a Reverse Action move during both defense and offense. Bandai Namco also added that “As the fight progresses, characters will be able to use their iconic Bankai to unleash very powerful and unique attacks to finish their opponents, or comeback from behind.”
The new trailer demonstrates this by showing Ichigo and Byakuya's iconic Bankai moves that longtime fans of Bleach would recognize. As expected, the battles in Bleach: Rebirth of Souls look fast-paced and spectacular. Hopefully, we'll get to see more previews of other characters' moves in future trailers for Bleach: Rebirth of Souls.
