Hajime Isayama, the author and illustrator of Attack on Titan (Japanese: Shingeki no Kyojin), has announced a new entry for his best-selling series, which is set to release in April 2024 in Japan. The final episode of the anime adaptation, produced by Studio MAPPA, is set to premiere this November, and the mangaka didn't announce any new plans to release a sequel to his magnum opus, but a new story set in the same universe is coming soon.
The new manga will be part of the Attack on Titan New Complete Illustrations Artbook. The 18-page entry is titled Volume 35, but no plot details have been shared yet. Of course, the lack of information hasn't stopped fans from speculating what Isayama will add to his epic manga series that concluded in April 2021. It seems that the manga is set to add more to its ultimate conclusion, although there's a chance that the new content could focus on something else in the story. Perhaps a tease of a sequel despite the mangaka saying that he had no plans to work on one.

The upcoming 35th volume of Attack on Titan is scheduled to release on April 30, 2024, so expect to find answers to the aforementioned questions on that date. With the extra pages set to be included as part of an art book for the series, fans shouldn’t expect the upcoming story to add anything significant because of its short length, but as I said, this could be a perfect opportunity to tease a potential sequel if Isayama doesn't have any plans to retire soon.
Of course, the talented mangaka might also work on another completely different franchise totally unrelated from Attack on Titan, so the new volume might just be extra scenes that could help bring a more satisfying conclusion to his series.
Attack on Titan: The Final Season - The Final Chapters Part 2 is scheduled to release on November 4, 2023.
