KOEI TECMO America and developer Omega Force have released the key visual for the opening animation of Attack on Titan 3. The image is attached to that new opening sequence instead of a standard package shot. The title is the newest entry in Omega Force’s Attack on Titan action game line.
Illustration work was handled by Arifumi Imai, a key animator and action animation director on Attack on Titan, under the supervision of chief animation director Manabu Akita. Junko Suenaga served as color designer on the piece. Yumena Ohama supplied the background art, and Haruka Juta completed the composite.
Animation studio MAPPA created the artwork to commemorate the 17th anniversary of Attack on Titan. The composition places Eren with his back turned. Mikasa, Armin, and Levi stand facing forward as they confront him.
What is Attack on Titan 3 game about?
Attack on Titan 3 is the closing chapter of Omega Force’s action game series. It follows the story of Attack on Titan from the Survey Corps’ early years through the finale. Players take the role of a Scout Regiment member and replay the events that shaped that world with the well-known cast.
A standard edition will be sold in digital and physical formats. A special Steelbook launch edition with ICONART artwork can be reserved on every physical platform. A Digital Deluxe Edition is also open for pre-order and bundles the base game with a digital artbook, a character customization pack, an original equipment pack, a starter item pack, and a 72-hour early access key.
Digital pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 version will open at a later date. The Nintendo Switch 2 version and the Upgrade Pack do not include the early access key. Those limits apply only to that hardware path and the related upgrade.
Anyone who pre-orders a digital copy receives the Wings of Freedom Earrings customization item. Buyers of a physical or digital copy receive the Wings of Freedom Hoodie as an early purchase bonus. The hoodie offer covers the first production run of physical copies and every digital purchase made by December 23, 2026.
Players who already have Attack on Titan 2 or Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle save data will get extra in-game bonuses. That save data must sit on the same console used for Attack on Titan 3. Further details on those rewards will be shared later.
The game includes Japanese voices. On-screen text is planned in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. More information is listed on the official Attack on Titan 3 site, along with the Attack on Titan game series account on X and KOEI TECMO America’s YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram, and Discord channels.
Attack on Titan 3 is currently in development. It is scheduled to launch on December 10, 2026. The release covers PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
The Attack on Titan anime can be streamed in full on Crunchyroll. That catalog includes the MAPPA-produced Final Season. Attack on Titan: The Last Attack is also available there.
