After the first season’s big finale, the next question is, will there be Ahsoka Season 2? So far, both Disney+ and Lucasfilm have remained mum about the show’s season renewal. But with the series’ success, proving to be a massive hit with fans, the continuation of Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren’s adventure isn’t far from happening.

Released on August 22, 2023, Ahsoka kicked off with a massive 14 million views in its first week of showing, making it the most-watched series on Disney+. It has also been well received by the viewers thanks to its great cinematography, action-packed scenes, visuals, and, of course, the cast’s performances that make it as perfect as it is. So, with everything said, here’s what we know about the possible Ahsoka Season 2.

Will there be Ahsoka Season 2?

Though Lucasfilm and Disney+ are dead silent about Ahsoka Season 2, some hints tease the possible season renewal. Star Wars official X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts sent fans into a frenzy after they seemed to spoil a second-season announcement by promoting the first season’s finale.

Gizmodo claimed that the post’s first caption was, “Get ready for the series finale of Ahsoka tonight.” However, it was reportedly edited later to “season finale,” probably hinting that the Star Wars series would continue. Though it might only be an innocent mistake, fans believed it meant something.

To add more fuel to the fire, the show’s lead star, Rosario Dawson herself, told Entertainment Weekly before that they “get to do more” of the series if “fans love it.” So, with the positive reviews from fans and critics alike, there may be a strong possibility that Ahsoka Season 2 will happen.

And to add more evidence, Disney’s first-quarter earnings report for this year revealed its projects, including Ahsoka. And besides the series’ title, a clear “Season 1” could be read, hinting that the show’s isn’t a limited one and there’s a chance for a continuation. The recently concluded Secret Invasion doesn’t have the same denotation, considering it’s a one-off. So, it looks like Disney has a plan for it all along.

Will will happen in Ahsoka Season 2?

After going to surprising places and a new galaxy, Ahsoka seems to have told a complete story, with Ezra and Thrawn returning to the main Star Wars universe. However, it has left fans with several questions, like what will happen next after the two's arrival.

Thrawn’s return to the Star Wars fold also opens a new storyline. So, how will this affect the First Order’s rise? Also, what will Ashoka, Sabine, and Ezra do now that they’re trapped on another planet?

By the looks of it, the first season finale has only set up the stage for the possible Ahsoka Season 2. Surely, Disney+ and Lucasfilm will never keep their fans hanging, and a season renewal may soon happen.

When will Ahsoka Season 2 be released?

Without official confirmation for Ahsoka Season 2 and any production update, it’s hard to predict when the new season will be released. As the first season finale just aired, it may take a little while before the fan favorite Ahsoka Tano returns to the small screen.

With several Star Wars projects in line, it may be impossible for the second season to come out in 2024. And if we base it on this year’s releases, it looks like Ahsoka Season 2 may be released in the same year as Mandalorian Season 4 in 2025.
