Ahsoka Episode 6 was truly a masterful tribute to Star Wars Rebels fans who have been waiting for their favorite characters to make their live-action debut. Far, Far Away not only gave us a meeting that was long overdue in the franchise but it dropped the most highly anticipated reunion for fans of the beloved animated series.
In Ahsoka Episode 6, it was confirmed that Sabine Wren had to endure A LOT after agreeing to give Baylan Skoll the star map and join the trip to Peridea in an effort to find Ezra Bridger. Upon arriving on the planet, she is whisked away and imprisoned by Dathomir's Great Mothers who sense that she is a Jedi. As if that wasn't enough, Sabine is later brought to Grand Admiral Thrawn who claims she is a familiar face.
Which is odd, considering that the two have never met face-to-face in Star Wars Rebels. On the other hand, it confirms that Thrawn was well aware of what Sabine has been up to and appears to know a lot about her relationship with Ezra Bridger. This is probably why he decided to let her go in the guise of repayment for her help in his cause. We later learn he plans to use her to find Ezra and have the mercenaries kill them both.
Thrawn's true intentions might not be so pure but it did give Rebels fans something that they've been waiting several years for. Sabine is helped by the native Noti of Peridea who just happened to be hiding Ezra after all these years. It's a touching reunion that plays perfectly on the friendship between the two.
Although we're happy to finally see live-action Ezra with Sabine, there's a little trouble with the reunion. After all, Thrawn already told Sabine that they wouldn't be able to leave the planet. In addition to that, Baylan and Shin Hati have teamed up with the bandits who are after Sabine. With that in mind, the next episode of Ahsoka will be an exciting one for the series.
Ahsoka Episode 7 has not yet been given an official title. However, the penultimate episode of the Star Wars series is already set to premiere on September 26, 2023.
