There is little doubt that Ahsoka Episode 5 was one of the biggest and most important chapters in Ahsoka Tano's life. So it's no surprise that the Star Wars series decided to pay homage to one of her most heartwarming moments in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and yes, it featured her former Master Anakin Skywalker.
In Ahsoka Episode 5, the former Jedi had to relive some of the most tragic moments of her life in the World Between Worlds, particularly during the Clone Wars. One particular situation sent her to the Siege of Mandalore where she is once again reunited with Anakin Skywalker. As her former Master tries to offer his teachings, the two share an amicable moment. However, Ahsoka ultimately refuses to be held back by her past, leading to a second lightsaber duel.
While the fight was ultimately one that fans had been waiting for, it was the brief moment when Anakin and Ahsoka shared a look that had everyone feeling nostalgic. After all, it's a reenactment of a key moment in the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars where Anakin and the 501st give Ahsoka a warm welcome after she left the Jedi Order. It was also the last time that Master and Apprentice were together.
Sadly, the circumstances somehow mirrored Anakin and Ahsoka's situation in the World Between Worlds. As soon as Ahsoka refuses Anakin's teachings, they fight once again, this time with Anakin taking on his Darth Vader persona. Luckily, Ahsoka manages to defeat him this time and chooses to live and save her friends. Her victory and decision allow her to return from the mystical plane and get saved by Hera Syndulla's companions.
Now that she's back, Ahsoka is clearly determined to find Sabine Wren, who had decided to join Morgan Elsbeth in a personal mission to be reunited with Ezra Bridger. This time, Ahsoka manages to convince the purggils to help them and it looks like we might finally get to find out what happened to Ezra and Grand Admiral Thrawn next week.
The fifth episode of the Star Wars series is titled Part Five: Shadow Warrior. Ahsoka Episode 6 has not yet been given an official title. However, it is already set to premiere on Disney+ on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
