A restaurant on the edge of closure is getting one last shot — in front of television cameras. New stills from Final Table introduce the four-person chef team pinning its survival on a high-stakes cooking competition.
JTBC's upcoming drama follows talented Korean chefs from around the world who gather for The Table: K-Chef 2026, a competition to crown the best Korean chef. For the team from Famiglia, though, the stakes are personal: the restaurant faces closure after its owner chef's dishonorable death, and winning the competition is their way to save it.
Ahn Hyo-seop plays Kang Han, Famiglia's head chef, whose instincts and creativity anchor the team. He reinterprets techniques gathered from traveling the world in his own style, guided by a belief that food can move people's hearts — and Famiglia itself holds precious memories of his father. In the competition, that philosophy becomes the team's identity, as Kang Han draws on his varied experience to present inventive dishes round after round.
Hong Hwa-yeon plays Choi Song-yi, Famiglia's owner and floor manager, whose father devoted his life to building the restaurant. She refuses to let it die, serving customers one moment and washing dishes or preparing ingredients the next, speaking her mind freely and never giving up easily.
Kim Jae-hwa plays Choi Doo-young, Song-yi's aunt and the restaurant's sous-chef. She has only been cooking for a year, but her gift for sorting and organizing ingredients — and her meticulous standards for hygiene — keeps the kitchen's basic operations in order while she assists Kang Han.
Lee Bong-jun plays Park Geon-woo, the experienced chef handling desserts and the garde manger station, which covers ingredient preparation and cold dishes. He holds a traditional Korean liquor sommelier certification and even ran his own restaurant at 23, and his concentration and judgment fill the gaps in the team.
The four come from very different backgrounds, and they have worked together only a short time. The stills show a team still learning to move in sync — dividing responsibilities and adapting on the fly as the competition demands it.
They will need to. The Table: K-Chef 2026 draws accomplished Korean chefs from around the world, and Famiglia enters it as an underdog with everything to lose. The two leads have the most personal reasons to fight: for Kang Han, the restaurant is bound up with his father's memory, while for Choi Song-yi, it is the business her own father spent his life building. That shared determination is what turns four mismatched cooks into a team with a genuine shot at bringing Famiglia back to life.
Final Table premieres October 24 at 10:40 p.m. KST on JTBC.
