Cho Jung-seok is about to return to the small screen in Netflix’s A-List to Playlist. But this time, he will not play a charming king as he did in Captivating the King or an assistant professor of general surgery in Hospital Playlist. Instead, he will be himself as he finally pursues his dream of becoming a singer-songwriter. Fortunately, he will not be alone on this journey; the official trailer for the upcoming variety show features South Korean superstars like IU and Park Hyo-shin, showing their support for Jung-seok.

The new A-List to Playlist preview begins with Jung-seok playing his original song on the piano. When he asks Jung Sang-hoon for his opinion, Jung assures him that his track isn’t bad. However, Jung-seok can't help but ask if he will release it, which makes him smile. Moon Sang-hoon intervenes, suggesting that they should be honest with Jung-seok and tells him to stick to acting, implying his music isn’t up to par.
IU then arrives and gives Jung-seok a big hug. As a famous singer-songwriter, IU has more experience making albums and can support her fellow actor. She tells Jung-seok that she loves his music, which makes him dance happily. She even adds that she’s confident he will be great at rapping.
However, being an actor for years, Jung-seok is visibly confused about how to rap. As he attempts it, he fails and ends up laughing. Gaeko from the hip-hop pair Dynamic Duo then appears and honestly expresses his concern, saying he thinks they’re in trouble after seeing Jung-seok’s performance.
The scene then shifts to Park Hyo-shin introducing himself and expressing his hope to be helpful in Jung-seok’s journey. A ballad singer and musical theater actor, he demonstrates his trademark emotional vocals by singing a song.
Jung-seok regains his confidence after hearing Hyo-shin’s positive comments about his music. His wife, Gummy, is also there to support him and wonders how many people want them to sing together. To make A-List to Playlist even more exciting, the Hospital Playlist Mido and Falasol squad—Joen Mi-do, Jung Kyung-ho, Yoo Yeon-seok, and Kim Dae-myung—come together to record a special song for Jung-seok.
Surprisingly, Kyung-ho also directs the music video for his former co-stars, while Kong Hyo-jin makes a surprise appearance as the lead actress. With such an all-star support team and an uncertain future in the music scene, Jung-seok can’t help but wonder, “How much more out of hand can this get?”
Elsewhere, Netflix has also released new stills for A-List to Playlist, showing IU looking optimistic about helping Jung-seok and Hyo-shin appearing serious as he begins the training session. Yeon-seok poses as he prepares to play the drums, while Kyung-ho smiles while holding an electric guitar.
Mi-do is busy recording the song, followed by Dae-myung, who is happily playing the piano. Jung-seok and IU also pose for a picture together, while the Hospital Playlist cast bands together to create a new track.
