Hotaru Hinase and Hananoi-kun's love story is about to conquer the small screen. Seven years after Megumi Morino’s manga started its serialization, East Fish Studio finally adapted A Condition Called Love into anime, which will be released next year. The studio has dropped its first teaser to reveal the two lead cast members and give fans a glimpse of what they're about to see. You can watch the preview below:

The trailer begins with Hotaru holding an umbrella for Hananoi-kun. The female high school student reveals she has no idea that casually holding out her umbrella for him that day will greatly change her life. The next scene features Hotaru in her classroom with Hananoi-kun, confessing he loves her. “Why me?” she asks.

As she’s next seen enjoying her meal, Hananoi-kun asks what love means to her. Hotaru believes it means one person is destined for her, though she admits she doesn’t know what it feels like to fall in love. Later, Hananoi-kun reveals he’s starting to like Hotaru a little. From there, Hotaru asks if she will be able to fall in love someday.
