What is SHY anime about?

SHY anime is based on the manga written and illustrated by Miki. The currently ongoing manga series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Champion in August 2019 and as of today, 22 volumes have been published. Yen Press holds the English license for the series, and the publisher has released the first four volumes, with the sixth scheduled to release on April 16, 2024. Yen Press shared a plot description for the series:

Earth was on the brink of a third World War when super-powered individuals came forth from each country around the globe, ending the conflict and ushering in a new era of relative peace. Among those heroes, Japan is represented by a timid young girl known as “Shy.” She may spend more time worrying about her own shortcomings than she does battling villains, but she’ll show the world that despite it all she still has the heart of a hero!
