Memories from the first year of high school come alive in a newly released teaser for Four Hands, Two Sonatas, where tvN presents the story through intimate video footage recorded by the characters. The clip functions like a time capsule, pulling viewers back to 2016 and the earliest days of friendship among three musical prodigies at Korea Arts High School.
Four Hands, Two Sonatas traces a full decade in the lives of young artists as they move from adolescence into adulthood, exploring the shifting dynamics of friendship, rivalry, love, and personal growth. Song Kang plays Kang Pi-o, the elite top-ranked pianist shaped by relentless practice and high expectations, while Lee Jun-young appears as Choi Jeong-yo, the naturally gifted newcomer whose free-spirited approach to music challenges everything Kang Pi-o thought he knew about talent and discipline.
The teaser features camcorder footage discovered in the music room of Korea Arts High School, capturing everyday moments from the trio’s school years with a raw and unpolished feel. Kang Pi-o and Choi Jeong-yo smile playfully at the camera while Hong Jae-in (Jang Gyu-ri) appears to be the one filming them. Choi Jeong-yo shyly asks, “Why are you filming?” as the shaky handheld footage continues to roll through their shared space.
Additional clips expand on those lighthearted exchanges, showing the three friends documenting their days with quiet care and genuine curiosity. Kang Pi-o is seen absorbed in operating the camcorder himself, while Choi Jeong-yo takes turns filming the others and Hong Jae-in offers a shy smile toward the lens. They practice four-hand piano pieces together in the rehearsal room, strike natural poses the moment Hong Jae-in suddenly points the camera at them, walk side by side across campus, and casually hand the device back and forth, their easy laughter and small gestures revealing how comfortable they already feel in one another’s company during those early months of 2016.
