Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead will see another delay. The anime has officially announced the postponement of its sixth episode’s release after the airing of Episode 5, Hero of the Dead. It is the third time the series has experienced a delay since it premiered in July 2023, though it seems to have valid reasons every time.

Based on the Japanese manga series written by Haro Aso and illustrated by Kotara Takata, Zom 100 has been serialized since October 2018 in Shogakukan's Seinen manga magazine Monthly Sunday Gene-X. As of June 2023, it already has 14 tankōbon volumes, while its live-action adaptation dropped on August 3 on Netflix. Bug Films produces the anime series.

The official website of the anime has announced the delayed release of Zom 100 Episode 6 due to the broadcast of the World Athletics Championship on Sunday, August 20. As expected, many are saddened by the news, as fans have to wait another week to see the next adventure of Akira as he completes his bucket list. You can read the announcement below:

Zom 100 ~ 100 Things I Want to Do Before I Become a Zombie ~ Broadcast on August 20th (Sun) will be suspended due to World Athletics broadcasting.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead Episode Delays

It isn’t the first time the series has delayed its new episodes' releases. It started with Episode 4, which was supposed to be released on July 30 in Japan. It was delayed for a day, to July 31, on some streaming services, like Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix, and even in its home country due to production issues.

Alternatively, its fifth episode release was delayed for a week because a special program aired on its original schedule. Hopefully, this will be the last time fans will see a delayed broadcast.
