The live-action film adaptation of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead is finally out and it's just as fun as the anime. Amazingly, it also has a cool connection to Netflix's other adaptation of a Haro Aso manga. The new film happens to star the same actor who played the Last Boss in Alice in Borderland but you won't recognize him right away.

In the first season of Alice in Borderland, the Last Boss was one of the Militants protecting the Beach. Although he was a reserved man in the real world, he chose to shave his head and cover himself in tattoos in the Borderlands. The Last Boss faces off against Kuina during the Witch Hunt and ultimately chooses to stay behind as the Beach burns down.

Although he plays one of the coolest characters in Alice in Borderland, Shuntaro Yanagi portrays a very different character in Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead. In the film, the Yowamushi Pedal star plays Kenichiro "Kencho" Ryuzaki, the best friend of protagonist Akira Tendo. It's a huge change from his previous role, proving that Yanagi is a truly versatile actor.

Interestingly, the live-action film also made some changes from the anime. For instance, the film has Kencho stuck in a love hotel called Sweet Time while he is in Club Shou-Time in the anime. He also doesn't admit his dream to become a comedian until much later in the movie.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead is based on the manga by Haro Aso and follows Akira Tendo, an overworked office worker who wakes up one day to discover that people have turned into zombies overnight. Instead of panicking about the zombie apocalypse, Akira rejoices at the idea of not having to go to work and starts a list of things he wants to do before he eventually turns into a zombie.
