Upon reaching Shinjuku, Akira distracts the zombies by honking a car horn and causing it to explode. Unbeknownst to him, he inadvertently saves Club Shou-Time owner Shou. Akira reunites with Kencho and leads him up to the roof to escape by jumping to a nearby building. Although Akira clears it, Kencho refuses, choosing to confess how much he hated his job and declaring that his ambition is to become a stand-up comedian.

Akira supports Kencho who finds the confidence to take the leap, tearing off his clothes as he jumps and causing his friend to laugh. Later that night, the two enjoy a conversation without their clothes.
