Marvel Studios’ upcoming animated series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, is finally shaping up. As Marvel Studios Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation Brad Winderbaum talks very highly of this project, calling it “amazing, to say the least,” it only deserves to be worked on by great talents. Unsurprisingly, it taps the Emmy-winning Cobra Kai composers Zach Robinson and Leo Birenberg to provide its musical score.

ScreenRant broke the news that Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man had found its composers in Robinson and Birenberg. Though these two are already known for their incredible track record, creating the best musical scores by incorporating different musical genres into their compositions, they’re still “beyond stoked” to be part of this new Marvel Cinematic Universe project.

“We are beyond stoked to be a part of this standout entry in the MCU,” they said. “Jeff Trammell, Mel Zwyer, and the rest of the team at Marvel could not have been better collaborators, and we are beyond grateful to them for letting us go absolutely wild on this score.”

Aside from Cobra Kai, which music they have composed since 2018, they’re also known for working on Peacock’s Twisted Metal, bringing in elements of nu-metal, shoegaze, and post-rock together to bring the iconic video game series’ signature mayhem to life. They are also behind the music of the raunch action comedy Obliterate, using heavy electronic instruments to match the show’s Las Vegas setting.

Brad Winderbaum All Praise for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

Winderbaum is now hyping up Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, having nothing but praise for the new Disney+ animated series. In an interview with ComicBook, he teased that the show would surprise people, likening it to the “Steve Ditko era of the comics.”

“It's Peter Parker back in high school just trying to make it work, take care of his aunt, completely broke, and having to be a superhero,” he said.

Created by Craig of the Creek’s Jeff Trammell, he believed fans would fall in love with the ensemble of characters he built as they surrounded the young Peter. He also revealed that the series’ long-form storytelling would show how those relationships would brew when the stakes got high, and things became tragic and dangerous.

“Pretty incredible. So, I love that show,” he continued.
