Get return for the return of your favorite mutants in X-Men '97, which is set to premiere its first two episodes on Disney+ on March 20. The 10-episode series is a sequel to the X-Men: The Animated Series (1992–1997), and it looks like it will stay true to the spirit of the original as the new teaser is stylized as an ad from the 1990s, featuring a VHS-style lines on the screen, complete with a narrator who sounds straight from the era to show the nostalgic vibes of the Disney+ series. As shown in the teaser, it looks like we will see Cyclops being clever as a couple of thugs take off his visor. There are also footages of other X-Men in action, including Wolverine, Gambit, Jubilee, Rogue, and Storm, and it looks we will be seeing them unleash their powers to take down the Sentinels again.
Produced by Marvel Studios Animation, with Beau DeMayo as the revival's showrunner, the new animated series takes place after Charles Xavier/Professor X's loss in the finale, reuniting fan-favorite mutants, including Wolverine (Cal Dodd), Cyclops (Ray Chase), Jean Grey (Jennifer Hale), Storm (Allison Sealy-Smith), Rogue (Lenore Zann), Beast (George Buza), Jubilee (Holly Chou), Gambit (AJ LoCascio), Nightcrawler (Adrian Hough), Bishop (Isaac Robinson-Smith), Morph (JP Karliak), and Magneto (Matthew Waterson).

How will X-Men '97 continue the story of X-Men: The Animated Series?
Showrunner Beau DeMay talked about how X-Men '97 is written to directly continue the story of the original series. He also explained how the X-Men will face a new situation in the new series by imagining them in a future that they "didn't see coming." Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he said:
X-Men Season 2 is already in development, so fans can expect more episodes to arrive on Disney+.
