Fans in Canada can get a special early look at X-Men '97 this weekend ahead of its March 20 premiere on Disney Plus. The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Marvel Studios Canada has announced that the first episode of the revival animated series will be screened at Torono Comicon, which will take place this weekend at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

At the convention, a special 'Weekend Morning Cartoon' event is scheduled on Saturday (March 16) and Sunday (March 17) between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm, and will take place in 'Xavier's Lounge for Gifted Youngsters' (Room 203CD)

The first episode of X-Men '97 will be screened on Saturday, followed by a Q&A panel with Canadian entertainment podcast The Movie Podcast and returning Canadian stars of the X-Men: The Animated Series, including Lenore Zann (Rogue), Cal Dodd (Wolverine), George Buza (Beast), and Adrian Hough (Nightcrawler).

Re-runs of X-Men: The Animated Series will also be shown for the remainder of the lounge's opening hours. The company is also encouraging fans to come to the event early for “seating, swag and cereal.”

There will also be a panel with the aforementioned cast, as well as Chris Britton (Mr. Sinister), Alyson Court (Jubilee in X-Men: TAS), and Catherine Disher (Jean Grey in X-Men: TAS), which will take place on Friday, March 15 at 2:45 pm. They will also be doing autographs and photos in between on Friday, so if you're interested in attending the event, Toronto Comicon tickets start at $28.

Produced by Marvel Studios Animation, with Beau DeMayo as the showrunner, the new animated series takes place after Charles Xavier/Professor X's loss in the finale, reuniting fan-favorite mutants, including Wolverine (Cal Dodd), Cyclops (Ray Chase), Jean Grey (Jennifer Hale), Storm (Allison Sealy-Smith), Rogue (Lenore Zann), Beast (George Buza), Jubilee (Holly Chou), Gambit (AJ LoCascio), Nightcrawler (Adrian Hough), Bishop (Isaac Robinson-Smith), Morph (JP Karliak), and Magneto (Matthew Waterson).
