Welcome to Samdal-ri will hit the small screens over the weekend, and JTBC has dropped a new teaser to give a glimpse of the series' premiere episode. As the show will tell the story of the friendship between Shin Hye Sun and Ji Chang Wook’s characters, the preview also shows the huge difference in their lives as they take different career paths. You can check the teaser below:
The preview begins with Jo Sam Dal (Shin Hye Sun) working as a photographer after she moves to Seoul to fulfill her dream. Despite going through difficult times, she managed to build a successful career and become one of the most famous photographers in town, with even A-list stars wanting to work with her. However, if there’s one thing that makes her endure the hard life in Seoul, it’s her wish to never return to Jeju Island again, knowing it’s where her longtime friend, Jo Yong Phil (Jin Chang Wook) lives, as he also happens to be her ex-boyfriend.
The next scene then features Jo Yong Phil saying goodbye to a group of people as he looks after the stream and becomes a weather forecaster. But as he seems to be having a hard time with his work, he’s warned to be sent to the headquarters in Seoul, to which he strongly disagrees.
Later, amid the big success Jo Sam Dal has been experiencing in the city, a huge controversy started to mar her career. Despite her promise not to come back to her hometown of Jeju Island, she will be left with no choice but to return.
