Halo Bears have no plans to give up. After Netflix canceled Warrior Nun following two seasons, the show will triumphantly return, thanks to a worldwide campaign that included several petitions. Creator Simon Barry earlier confirmed the series would make a comeback, and it looks like it is soon happening if the Warrior Nun Saved website’s countdown is anything to go by.
Back in July, the Warrior Nun Saved website emerged with a tagline “In this life or the next.” However, the site only features a countdown with no details whatsoever. When it started, there were 44 days until the clock reached zero. As of this writing, the time will end in one day and six hours, and a big announcement will be made.
Based on the countdown, the announcement will go live on Tuesday, August 15, while on Wednesday, August 16, in other areas. Thankfully, the site is generous enough to share the global times via Bleeding Cool when this big news will be made. You can check the times below:
August 15 | August 16 |
10 PM Rio de Janeiro | 11 AM Sydney |
9 PM New York City | 10 AM Tokyo |
8 PM Chicago | 9 AM Singapore |
6 PM Los Angeles | 2 AM London |

Warrior Nun Confirmed to Return
In June, Barry announced that Warrior Nun would return for a third season. However, there have yet to be any words on which network or streamer will pick up the show, but it will surely not be on Netflix. The creator also thanked everyone who had shown incredible efforts to save Warrior Nun and teased that it would be “more epic” than what fans could imagine.
Netflix Canceled Warrior Nun
Netflix canceled Warrior Nun in December after airing its second season on November 10, 2022. However, the reason for the cancellation remains a mystery until today, despite the second season lasting three weeks in the streamer’s weekly top 10 for English-language series and even peaking in the fifth spot. Barry announced the sad news on Twitter and thanked fans for their love for the series, cast, and crew.
What is Warrior Nun about?
Based on the comic book character created by Ben Dunn, Warrior Nun follows Ava Silva (Alba Baptista), a 19-year-old orphan who found out she already had an embedded artifact in her back after waking up in a morgue. This makes her a part of the Order of the Cruciform Sword, an ancient group of warrior nuns who have sworn to fight the demons on earth. You can read the synopsis below:
Fans have high expectations for the upcoming big announcement. Of course, many expect it to be about the third season, though there are also theories that it can be a miniseries, a short story, or a movie that will give a proper conclusion to Ava’s story.
