VALORANT Episode 7 Act 3 is set to release in a couple of days and this update will introduce the 23rd Agent in the game. The Agent is going to be another one of the Duelists and will be known as Iso, who’s a Chinese fixer with one-of-a-kind gun skills that can also be transformed into bulletproof protection for himself.
When it comes to Iso’s design, one of VALORANT’s designers Nicholas Smith shared that he wished Iso to feel recognizable and what he would call a “Juggernaut.” He said, “We had a few outputs we wanted to avoid, specifically mobility and healing. It’s why we created the shield and that he’d run a team through and keep on going without mobility or healing.” You can see Iso’s complete kit below:
E - Double Tap
Activate your focus timer. When it’s run out, Iso will be able to harvest energy orbs from enemies he damages or kills. Once these orbs are shot, Iso will receive a shield that absorbs one instance of damage from any source.
Q - Undercut
Throw a molecular bolt that can pass through walls and other solid objects to catch enemies behind obstacles. When the bolt touches a player, the FRAGILE status will be applied to them.
C - Contingency
Iso will assemble prismatic energy that can be fired as an indestructible wall of energy that blocks bullets.
X - Kill Contract
Throw a column of energy which will transport Iso and the first enemy hit by his ultimate into a 1v1 arena. The winner leaves the arena and the loser dies.
It looks like Iso has a pretty powerful kit that makes him one of the most daunting threats to come across in a match. However, his abilities mostly favor gamers who have impeccable skills when it comes to gunplay. Impact Of Iso’s Gameplay On VALORANT Matchmaking
Iso’s addition to the VALORANT roster is going to change the entire competitive landscape. Being a duelist, Iso is designed to eliminate enemies and cause disturbances in the game. The agent’s abilities offer an interesting mixture of offensive and defensive utility, which makes him a multi-skilled option for gamers looking to engage in fights.
Iso’s “Kill Contract” ultimate adds a certain dynamic to the game’s tactical gameplay, making the game more exciting. Isolating an opponent in a 1v1 arena can make the difference between a victory and a loss and adds an element of suspense and strategy to a game.
Moreover, in his “Double Tap” ability, players are required to display their aiming skills, making him useful for those players who prefer precise gunplay instead of flashy mobility. The “Undercut” ability offers Iso the tools to completely disturb the opponent’s defenses and create some new chances for the team.
It’s worth noting that even though Iso’s abilities can be tactically integrated into any team composition, they are not limited to individual skills.
