Tower of God Season 2 may have started with the Return of the Prince arc, but the anime is now gearing up to begin its second cour. After the six-year time jump, the focus has shifted to the new character, Ja Wangan, and Baam, who now go by the name Viole. However, the story will soon center on Emile, as a new teaser reveals the start of the Workshop Battle arc, set to be released on October 6, and announces Stray Kids' return to perform the opening and ending songs.

As shared on Crunchyroll’s X page, the brief teaser for Tower of God Season 2 Workshop Battle arc only shows the new storyline’s title and release date and its broadcasting networks Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS Nippon TV. It also confirms Stray Kids’ return as the opening and ending theme song artist, though the titles of the tracks are yet to be revealed. Later, before the preview ends, a glimpse of Twenty-Fifth Bam is revealed.
Talking about their major comeback after performing the first season’s theme songs, Top and Slump, the K-pop group said (via the anime’s official website) that they were truly honored to work on the second season’s new opening and ending themes. In addition to performing, they also wrote songs with the main character, Baam, and her friends in mind to fit the worldview of the anime.
“We hope that our songs by Stray Kids will make you enjoy the anime Tower of God – Workshop Battle even more,” they said.
What is Tower of God – Workshop Battle arc about?
Workshop Battle is the fifth arc of the second story of Tower of God’s second volume. Set on the 30th floor of the Tower, this workshop battle is only for E-rank regulars and is held every five years. This tournament only employs individuals with great combat and teamwork skills. The E-rank regulars will confront each other to obtain items or weapons from The Workshop.
The prologue will focus on Emile, the self-proclaimed chatting bot, who receives a text saying, "Twenty-Fifth Night is alive." As expected, this news will create a buzz and prompt Khun Aguero Agnis to begin investigating. Viole will remain front and center of the story.
The anime is based on the South Korean manhwa released as a webtoon of the same title by S.I.U. It has been serialized since June 2010 and has collected 15 volumes as of May 2024. It’s translated into English by Line Webtoon.
In addition to several mobile game adaptations and merchandise, it has an anime adaptation. The first season was produced by Telecom Animation Film and aired in June 2020. The second season, adapted by The Answer Studio, has released 10 episodes so far after premiering in July 2024.
After a four-year wait, Tower of God Season 2 created great anticipation, making it much-awaited. However, after the studio change, some expressed disappointment over quality issues and the change of look. But as Baam’s story continues, many may have remained hopeful that it will once again regain its lost spark.
