Tom Hardy has announced on Instagram that filming for Venom 3 has resumed after being affected by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Interestingly, a new photo confirms that Eddie Brock's story is still connected to the latest Spider-Man film!

Hardy shared a photo from the set with the caption "V3NM3," indicating the third installment in the Venom series (via Instagram). In the image, the actor is shown on the set of the film alongside director Kelly Marcel. Moreover, the picture features Eddie Brock in a familiar location.

In the photo, Eddie is wearing the same shirt he had on when he appeared in the post-credits scene for Spider-Man: No Way Home. This suggests that Venom 3 will expand on the scene where Eddie and Venom found themselves in Mexico City before they disappeared in the post-credits scene. Additionally, the film could provide the characters with a proper conclusion.

Will Venom 3 be the last one for the film series?

Tom Hardy already confirmed that Venom 3 would be the final sequel for his character Eddie Brock. However, it is unclear what will happen to the character or the symbiote he has been hosting since the first movie.

Kelly Marcel, who also wrote the screenplays for Venom and Venom 2, is directing and co-writing the screenplay for Venom 3. Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor have been cast in undisclosed roles. The plot details for the upcoming film have not been revealed, but the second movie concluded with detective Patrick Mulligan (Stephen Graham) seemingly acquiring super-sonic powers, setting the stage for potential developments in the third installment.

Additionally, a post-credit scene in Venom 2 showed Eddie and Venom being transported to a universe where Tom Holland's Spider-Man exists, hinting at the possibility of MCU cameos or interactions. Fans are eager to see how Venom 3 will tie into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe.
