A new murder mystery series is coming to Netflix this September 2024: The Perfect Couple. Based on Elin Hilderbrand’s New York Times best-selling novel of the same title, the series boasts not only an interesting plot but also a star-studded cast, including the A-list star Nicole Kidman and the X-Men actor Liev Schreiber. Netflix has released the official trailer for The Perfect Couple, showing how the wedding of the century turns into a murder investigation. It starts with Schreiber asking if he’s under arrest after being detained for questioning. Jack Reynolds is also held for interrogations, while Kidman seems uninterested in the inquiry. Nick Searcy stresses that the Winbury family is rich, so they can kill someone and get away with it.

Due to the “accident,” Schreiber understands they’re all under a big amount of stress as the police start investigating the mysterious death. Kidman reveals they’re all shocked and upset, though her reaction differs from her words. The media begin to pester the family with questions. Eve Hewson tells Donna Lynne Champlin that Kidman makes anyone who visits their home sign an NDA. As everyone confesses their wrongdoings, dirty secrets are about to be revealed.

Directed by Emmy and Oscar winner Susanne Bier and created by Jenna Lamia, The Perfect Couple follows the story of Amelia Sacks, who is set to marry into the wealthy Winbury family of Nantucket, despite the disapproval of the matriarch, novelist Greer Garrison Winbury. However, the lavish wedding turns into a suspenseful crime story when a dead body suddenly appears on the beach, leading to suspicions about who the culprit might be.
