Anos Voldigoad’s journey to prove he’s a real Demon King continues in The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 Part 2. After a long wait, the anime is now preparing for the second cour’s nearing release by dropping a new trailer that gives a glimpse of the intense turn of events fans are about to see. But aside from that, the preview also reveals the second cour's new opening and ending themes by Maou by Nao Toyama x Burnout Syndromes and Shingetsu by Misha.

The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 Part 2 preview begins with Ahid Alovoto Agartz discussing a ritual to fill the seat of a lost god while a glimpse of Arcana appears. Anos enters the scene, with Ahid telling him the sky is his as a green ring appears before his face. From there, the opening theme Maou begins to play in the background as Hero Academy is revealed, followed by a sequence of the students inside the auditorium. Emilia Ludwell speaks in front of everyone as Ahid continues his spiel.
Emilia and Anos are seen together before a fight against a huge dragon begins. The music then shifts to the ending theme, Shingetsu, while Anos reflects on a battle that is about to come. He then appears with Misha and Sasha Necron by his side, followed by his confrontation with Ahid and Arcana. Before the preview ends, Misha talks to Anos about what she thinks of Arcana.

What to Expect from The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 Part 2
The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 Part 2 is expected to adapt the light novel’s Selection Judgment arc, which is the fifth storyline of the series. Here, with the reported sightings of dragons all over Azesion, despite being thought to be extinct, the Demong King Academy and Hero Academy will work together to deal with these creatures. But amid the battle, they’re about to discover an unknown world beneath the ground.
It will also see a mysterious man appearing before Anos, and this guy will tell him about the Selection Trial, in which eight representatives are chosen to fight to become a proxy. Anos will be one of them and follow the guy to the underground world that will see him end up in Gaelahesta, where he’s about to learn more about the trial.

The anime is based on the light novel of the same title written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma. It originally started as a web novel in 2017 before it was published by ASCII Media Works in 2018. It was then adapted into a manga by Kayaharuka and was serialized online from July 2018 to July 2021 after being put on indefinite hiatus due to the mangaka’s passing. The manga is licensed in English by Square Enix.
Silver Link then produced its anime adaptation, releasing its first season from July to September 2020. The second season started broadcasting in January 2023, though it was pushed back to July 2023 due to production issues.

The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 Part 2 is set to be released on Friday, April 12. Six months after the first cour ended, fans are now excited to see the continuation of Anos’ journey. Now that he has been chosen as one of the gods’ representatives, what he will bring to the table this time is a must-see.
