You can see the preview below:
The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 trailer begins with Tatsuya narrating about the new spring that dawns at Magic High School after his first glimpse at the offshore tower while he's with his sister, Miyuki, and their fellow students. Asuza then dominates the scene with a confusing look on her face, followed by the appearance of Seagusa. As Tatsuya continues that he has advanced to the second year of the newly established 2096 school year to be a magical engineer, Tomitsuka appears.
Tatsuya wishes to have a peaceful high school life, but he knows it’s impossible to happen as the turbulent days are about to begin. The new human front’s attack on the offshore tower fails, and he believes that Sasa has instigated the people who are evacuating the National Defense Forces. As it’s the perfect time to conduct the first operational test, he knows it will never be easy.
From there, the preview shows the intense battles in The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 as LiSA’s Shouted Serenade plays in the background. Pixie is seen preparing for a fight, along with Seagusa and Kudou. The trailer ends as the battle begins.
The preview also unveils the new season’s key visual featuring Mitsuki, Tatsuya, and the other characters fans have loved. It also shows a mysterious image of Zhou Gongjin at the center as he only shows his back.

What is The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 about?
The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 will cover the light novel’s three arcs: Double Seven, Steeplechase, and Ancient City Insurrection. In the first arc, Tatsuya and Miyuki successfully advanced to second-year high school while a new curriculum, the Magic Engineering Course, was established. With his new position as the acting student council Vice President, he believes everything will be fine and peaceful until three new students from the elite Numbered families arrive.
In Steeplechase, the Nine Schools Competition will be held in July 2096, but the rules differ from the previous years. While everyone is busy, Tatsuya receives a mysterious message that a new plot is about to happen, and he makes his way to the Fuji Forest to stop the conspiracy.
Lastly, Ancient City Insurrection reveals the mastermind behind the “Parasite Doll” that happened during the Nine Schools Competition. Zhou Gongjin flees Yokohama to go to Kyoto to meet the ancient magic users called “traditionalists.” The National High School Magic Thesis Competition will also be held here.
The anime is based on the light novel by Tsutomu Sato, which started on the web in October 2008 and was turned into a light novel in July 2011. It was then adapted into a manga by various artists and publishers in 2013 and was first adapted into anime by Madhouse in 2014.
It was published in English by Yen Press, while Aniplex of America licensed its anime, which was later available to stream on Netflix. A new anime was released in 2017, and its second season, produced by Eight Bit, was released in 2020. The same studio handles the third season.
