The upcoming The Eminence in Shadow movie The Eminence in Shadow: Lost Echoes has released its first official trailer about half a year since it was originally announced back in December. The trailer features Cid/Shadow back in Tokyo, Japan, and it looks like it's the same ruined city that was teased in the first visual that was previously revealed. It looks like Cid is fighting an intense battle, but plot details for the feature film haven't been revealed yet. Watch the first trailer for The Eminence in Shadow: Lost Echoes below:
Kazuya Nakanishi, who directed the first two seasons of The Eminence in Shadow TV anime, will return to direct the movie, with a script written by Kanichi Kato. Makoto Ito is in charge of the character designs, and Nexus studio is producing the animation. The first season of The Eminence in Shadow TV anime premiered in October 2022, and it consisted of 20 episodes which aired over two cours. The second season, which began broadcasting last October consisted of12 episodes.

What is The Eminence in Shadow about?
The isekai anime series is based on The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) Japanese light novels written by Daisuke Aizawa and illustrated by Azunishi. Enterbrain has been publishing the series with Tozai's illustrations since 2018. The series also received a manga adaptation with art by Anri Sakano, and it was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's seinen manga magazine Comp Ace since December 2018. The light novels and manga were licensed in English by Yen Press, which provided the following synopsis:
