If you’re tired of crying for Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji-won) and Baek Hyun-woo (Kim Soo-hyun) in Queen of Tears, Netflix has a new fantasy romance K-drama to offer, The Atypical Family. Prepare to meet a unique family with superpowers, though they will end up returning to being normal people. So, to have their special abilities back, the trailer for the new series shows Chun Woo-hee as the savior that Jang Ki-Yong and his family need.
You can watch the preview for The Atypical Family below:
The Atypical Family trailer begins with Woo-hee arriving at the mysterious family’s home while carrying a basket of flowers. Everyone welcomes her warmly, especially Go Doo-shim, except for Ki-yong. The latter shows no emotion as he looks at Woo-hee. Claudia Kim then explains that they’re usually full of emotions but end up broken for an unrevealed reason. The next scene shows her peeking at the family’s stunning mansion.
Later, the narrator reveals each family member’s abilities. Doo-shim can see the future through her dreams, while Kim can fly and Ki-yong can travel to the past. However, the youngest of the kin, Park So-yi, seems to have no powers, though there’s something mysterious about this young girl. She’s the one who wonders why Woo-hee isn’t running away yet.
Later, Doo-shim reveals that she’s sure Woo-hee is the savior who will bring back their lost powers. However, before the trailer ends, Woo-hee is seen running away after being startled by something she sees.
Netflix has also released a new visual for The Atypical Family. Though Ki-yong doesn’t pay attention to Woo-hee in the trailer, the poster shows them lovingly looking at each other and holding hands.

What is The Atypical Family about?
The Atypical Family will tell the story of a family with supernatural abilities. Gwi-joo can travel back in time, though only to the happy moments in his life. As he can’t change the past, it makes him depressed, and he loses his power. The other family members have also lost their powers due to modern-day problems like insomnia, bulimia, and smartphone addiction. However, things are about to change when Da-hae comes and lives with them.
