The protagonist, Rentaro Aijo, is surrounded by many girls, thanks to a divine spell, but it looks like dealing with them won't be easy for him as he will need to return their feelings, or they'll all die in horrible accidents.

Bibury Animation Studios (The Quintessential Quintuplets Season 2) is in charge of the animation for 100 Girlfriends, and trailer features the opening song Daidaidaidaidaisuki na Kimi e ♡, which is performed by the main voice actresses. What is The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You about?

The The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You anime is based on a manga written by Rikito Nakamura and illustrated by Yukiko Nozawa. The manga has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump since December 26, 2019. Volume 1 of the manga was released on April 17, 2020, and as of July 2023, fourteen volumes have been published. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the series in English, and provided the following story description:

Aijo Rentaro has asked a hundred girls out and struck out every time. In desperation, he prays for guidance, only to be told by a god that his rejections were due to a cosmic mishap! Now this god will set things right by making sure Aijo gets one hundred dates. Except, as things often go with gods, there’s a catch: each of his one hundred dates is Aijo’s destined soulmate! Worse, if he doesn’t return their feelings, they’ll all die in horrible—and hilarious—accidents!
