Rimuru and Yuuki are back for a special mission in the new That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus’ Dream OVA. The anime has dropped the original episodes’ official trailer, giving a glimpse of the new characters fans are about to meet and revealing its release date.
Coleus’ Dream is an original story written by the creator Fuse, who’s also behind the Japanese fantasy light novel series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime together with Mitz Vah. The OVA is a three-part special animated by 8bit Studio. It will also feature Takuatsu Terashima’s Hikari Hanatsu as its opening theme song.
The anime’s official website has dropped the new trailer for Coleus’ Dream, starting with Yuuki telling Rimuru about a “troublesome problem” in the Kingdom of Coleus that surprises the latter. The scene then shifts to a beautiful realm. It then introduces the new characters, led by Crown Prince Souther and Prince Aslan, who are always in a fight.
The preview shows their younger sister, Zenobia, revealing they used to be close together, but her brothers’ respective supporters are at war. From there, a huge conflict begins as someone tries to harm the princess, as she lies unconsciously in Satoru’s hands.

Aside from the trailer, the anime has also released a number of preview stills for Coleus’ Dream. The previews feature Rimuru trying to make a disguise as she makes her way to the kingdom, while others see Luminous and Violet giving malicious grins.

Coleus’ Dream follows Rimuru as she fulfills a mission given by Yuuki. The King of the Kingdom of Coleus is now old, and the battle for the throne has begun between Souther and Aslan. Southern gets the support of the nobility, while the Free Guild backs Aslan. It’s up to Rimuru to get to the kingdom disguised as the Great Phantom Thief Satoru to deal with the situation. However, she’s about to discover a dark secret along the way.

When is the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus’ Dream OVA release date?
Coleus’ Dream will release all three episodes on November 1. However, the anime has yet to reveal its broadcast details, so fans must wait for further announcements. It also remains to be seen if it will be released internationally.
Two years after the second season ended, seeing new episodes of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus’ Dream OVA is a big treat for fans. However, they will be up for another waiting game after that for the third season’s release in spring 2024.
