An epic new trailer has been released for the upcoming Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream co-op game, which highlights the co-op boss fights, story mode, and characters. The new trailer also revealed that the online action game is scheduled to launch on October 3, 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The co-op boss fights of Sword Art Online: Fractured Day Dream can have up to 20 players, but the story mode is the focus in the latest trailer as it shows the narrative side of the game, which is set in a "distorted version of the Sword Art Online world." It turns out that Eugeo, Sugo Nobuyuki/Oberon, and Quinella are back, and Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online's Llenn and Fukaziroh are caught up in the strange new conflict as well.
You can hear one of the characters say, “I’m just saying what the impossible could be impossible. That somebody who couldn’t be here maybe is” and “What do you think happens to people who die in this world?” while the trailer shows vague lines such as “The past and present, overwritten" and "Memories overflow".
The trailer also previewed pre-order and edition-based bonuses. Digital Premium Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition will give players three days of early access, while Steam players can get a Demon king set (from Sword Art Online: Unleash Blading) for Kirito if they pre-order.
Players who order the Digital editions can also get the Asuna cosmetic and Character Pass 1 (includes 2 Isekai Visitor DLCs and a bonus stamp set). The Premium Edition will come with Sinon cosmetics, the game's soundtrack, and a digital art book with a minigame.
What is Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream about?
In Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, players can join Raid Teams to battle bosses in the Boss Raid and Co-op Quest modes. The game features 20 characters from the franchise to select from, with each having their own unique abilities. The official description of Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream reads:
In SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream, a new system is applied to the world of Alfheim Online, but a malfunction causes all worlds and timelines to collide, creating a unique setting and challenging environment for Kirito and other players.
