The life of the sex icon and the most famous pornstar in the world, Rocco Siffredi, is about to hit the small screens. Titled Supersex, Netflix has now released the trailer for the hotly anticipated biopic series, showing the story behind the fame of the Italian adult actor, from his work to his life in the real world. The trailer begins with a voiceover saying, “Every power is an enigma” that can either give you light or throw you into darkness while Alessandro Borghi, who plays the role of Rocco Siffredi, is being bombarded by fans and paparazzi as he gets out of his car. “But every existence lived to its fullest always has a price to pay,” the narrator continues.
As the preview begins to reveal the life and fame of Siffredi as a sex icon himself, it reveals his life behind the camera, from a guy who also has his enemies to a loving child. Later, it shows how a simple kid from the small town of Ortona in central Italy becomes the world-famous Rocco Siffredi. “Only those with the courage to take the risk become masters of themselves and can start a new life,” he says.
Is Supersex based on the true story of Rocco Siffredi’s life?
Though Supersex is loosely inspired by the life of Rocco Siffredi, the pornographic actor said in an interview with Italy’s FQ Magazine in 2022 that it’s highly fictionalized. “This beautiful story is inspired by my life, but it is not my life,” he revealed.
He added that everything fans would see in the series “originated” from him, but the writer and creator Francesca Manieri put much of herself into it. Hence, it would feature the fun, drama, and absurdity of working in the porn industry.
