Netflix is now gearing up to tell the story of the world’s most famous porn star Rocco Siffredi in its upcoming biographical TV series, Supersex. The streamer has recently released the official trailer for the biopic show loosely inspired by the life of the renowned pornographic actor known as the Italian Stallion, giving a glimpse of the fictional and the real world he lives in. In September 2023, Netflix announced the making of Supersex as part of its commitment to the Italian creative community. The service aims to tell the story of Siffredi, whose life plays a “powerful tool to understanding current issues” despite being marked by “excess and transgression.”
Talking about this project, Netflix’s Vice President for Italian Content, Tinny Andreatta, said this new series would tell an authentic, courageous, and unique story. Is there an official trailer for Supersex?
After releasing a teaser in January, Netflix has dropped the official trailer for Supersex, setting the anticipation high for Siffredi’s story. Of course, it sees the ups and downs the now-59-year-old star has gone through, from winning the best European actor to his humble beginnings as a simple guy from Ortona, Italy.
“The more I became Rocco Siffredi, the more I realized the price I have to pay,” he said in the trailer, teasing the consequences he faces as he becomes a famous pornographic film actor.
In the preview, he talks about his brother, Tommaso, who becomes his teacher, as the latter tells him about the “dynamite” between the men's and women’s legs and calls it the energy that drives the world. From there, the young Siffredi has grown into the man that he is today as he gets exposed to sexual activities and ends up doing pornographic movies. But as he quickly realizes that desire and reality are two different things, he has already ruined the lives of those who love him.

Is Supersex based on the true story of Rocco Siffredi?
Supersex is loosely inspired by the life of Siffredi, but the actor told Italy’s FQ Magazine that the series is “highly fictionalized." “This beautiful story is inspired by my life, but it is not my life,” he said.
Everything that fans will see in the show “originated” from him. But the series creator and writer Francesca Manieri has put a lot of herself into it, making it a work of fiction. However, it will still depict the fun, drama, and absurdity of what working in the porn industry is like.
